Psychedelic Therapy and Integration Conference

HoloMind

The Psychedelic Therapy and Integration Conference aims to scientifically and comprehensively integrate knowledge and research on the use of psychoactive substances in treating conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and addiction. The therapeutic application of psychoactive substances is gaining a growing following among scientists and therapists worldwide. It is already legal in the USA (Oregon), Australia, and Israel and the process of decriminalization has already started in the Netherlands. The therapeutic potential of such treatments is also being considered by the European Parliament.

Our conference seeks to inform attendees about the latest methods for treating depression and PTSD, while also promoting harm reduction associated with the illegal use of psychoactive substances as part of our educational mission.

The goal of the Psychedelic Integration Conference is to educate on the following topics:

  • the application of various therapeutic approaches in working with altered states of consciousness,
  • the best methods for psychedelic integration,
  • conducting therapeutic sessions without “drug-shaming,”
  • synthesizing practical experiences with scientifically researched, ethical, and proven methods,
  • an integral and transpersonal approach in psychology and therapy,
  • discovering what we can learn from other cultures that have been exploring these states for thousands of years, and what is worth re-examining,
  • harm reduction in non-clinical and non-therapeutic psychedelic experiments,
  • the dangers and potential complications of using psychedelic experiences as part of therapy,
  • realistic expectations from psychedelic therapy.

Why is it worth being?

What distinguishes our conference:

  • presence and lectures of international experts who have a huge impact on changes in therapy and psychiatry: Dr. Rick Doblin, Dr. Rick Strasmann, Jules Evans, Prof. Eric Vermeten, Marc Aixala
  • lectures by Polish authorities who contribute to increasing knowledge about psychedelic experiences on our market: Dr. Adam Hamed, Dr. Michał Jasiński, Dr. Piotr Marcinowicz
  • speeches by Polish therapists and psychologists who work in psychedelic integration on a daily basis
  • open conversations about the difficulties and dangers that exists even during the clinical and therapeutic use of psychedelics
  • panels with Polish experts who deal with harm reduction and counteracting the threats posed by the irresponsible use of psychoactive substances
  • implementation of lectures and panels in 4 areas: practice, science, culture and society
  • meetings with people who influence the fact that Polish psychology, psychotherapy, psychiatry and medicine will be consistent with the latest global standards, and may even exceed them and transform the mental health industry
  • our desire to make the presence at the conference not only an intellectual journey, but a space for exchanging experiences, meeting people with similar values, as well as discovering the secrets of the mind that will inspire changes
  • cooperation with various environments: from scientists, through therapists, sociologists, lawyers
  • combining a professional, scientific approach with openness to other cultures and thousands of years of experience of many tribes around the world
  • inclusivity and perspectives from groups that are less heard and seen

What is the reason for organizing the first edition of the Conference on Psychedelic Integration and Therapy?

  • Poland needs an international community of scientists, researchers, practitioners, media, therapists, and psychiatrists to support the implementation of high standards that will make psychedelic therapy legal and safe.
  • There are too few initiatives providing access to international knowledge and Polish specialists’ experiences in the application of altered states of consciousness and their integration.
  • There is still a lack of research that could demonstrate the potential of psychedelic therapies to medical professionals and governments.
  • A broad initiative is needed to raise awareness of how wisely and safely conducted psychedelic processes can help treat depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
  • Too many professionals still lack knowledge about psychedelic experiences and assist their clients based on their own biases, rather than the latest insights in the field.
  • We are not drawing enough from the knowledge and experiences of other cultures that have, for hundreds or even thousands of years, utilized the wisdom of nature and the possibilities offered by plants and fungi to address human emotional challenges.
  • We aim to foster the idea of combining scientific approaches with practical experience.
  • There is too little exchange of knowledge and experiences across professions and cultures.
  • There are too many careless experiments with psychedelics by people who lack the fundamental knowledge in this area.

The conference also aims to support the search

for answers to issues such as:

  • fragmented, disorganized knowledge from various random sources,
  • feelings of isolation or even social and familial exclusion due to interests outside the classical approach to psychology, therapy, and psychiatry,
  • feelings of professional isolation or exclusion among psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, and doctors who begin to think differently—integrally and holistically—but cannot find like-minded individuals in their environment, leading them to seek a community with an integral and psychedelic approach,
  • the threat of unprofessional knowledge and self-proclaimed experts who lack theoretical, scientific, and practical preparation, often acting unethically,
  • uncertainty about what to do when classical therapeutic methods do not work for oneself or loved ones, or when the most commonly prescribed medications do not help with anxiety, depression, or PTSD,
  • the dangers of operating in the “psychedelic underground”—when young and life-experienced individuals irresponsibly experiment with substances, seeking emotional relief or emotional, spiritual, or mental growth through “miracle” substances, often becoming entangled in dysfunctional groups,
  • abuse in therapy, particularly in work with women, sensitive individuals, or marginalized groups.
Meaning that

It is important to us:

  • to organize the best and most proven knowledge in one place
create a community looking for similar people who explore professional knowledge in a friendly environment
  • to help create a community of specialists who want to meet other doctors, psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists with similar values and the need to develop the profession
  • to be a place that will help educate the market, current and future experts who will
  • to be equipped with theoretical, scientific knowledge and practice to act professionally and ethically
  • to share the latest scientific and practical discoveries that allow for safe and ethical
  • to support in the treatment of anxiety, depression and PTSD problems
  • to educate and influence the market to professionalize the approach to psychedelic therapy, so that in the future, people in need can legally and professionally seek help in therapy using altered states of consciousness
  • to promote standards and values that will provide a sense of security in therapeutic work for women, sensitive people and discriminated groups
  • to create in the future an international and largest conference in this part of the world that combines cultures, scientists, practitioners and provides professional knowledge and practical experience
